Welcome.....
Christmas in Action On April 30, 2011 hundreds of volunteers in Canton Michigan will head out to help maintain and repair the homes of their elderly and less fortunate neighbors. In this, its sixth year, the Wayne County chapter of Christmas in Action will work on seven to nine homes based on fundraising.
House captains will coordinate the work being done at each site that day. Knowledgeable experts will perform electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repairs, while teams of volunteers will paint walls, wash windows, and do general interior and exterior spring cleaning.
The day will start with registration and a continental breakfast at the Canton Township Administration Building, 1150 S. Canton Center Rd, Mi 48188. Then the volunteers will be bused to the homes. Volunteers are encouraged to bring brooms, rakes, and shovels marked with their name and work gloves. Lunch will be provided by local eateries. To volunteer call 734-394-5191. We'd love to see you there!
